  • What do you do at AFWC? I’m one of the first faces you see at our clinic or speak with on the phone. I check patients in/out, assist our providers during appointments and generally help keep the office running smoothly.
  • What do you love most about your job with AFWC? Our patients – I really enjoy helping them to feel better, care for their health and learning about their lives.
  • AFWC patients would most likely know you because… I am the one who makes the confirmation calls. Many patients recognize my voice on the phone before I introduce myself!
  • What are your personal interests outside of work? I love four wheeling, camping, hanging with family, shopping, sometimes even being lazy!
  • What would AFWC patients be surprised to learn about you? That I enjoy being in the dirt with a powerful four wheeler.

  • What do you love most about your job with AFWC? I love learning new things from our providers and being able to assist with patient procedures including prolotherapy, PRP and hormone pellet placement.
  • AFWC patients would most likely know you because… I am tall…and blonde (literally, not figuratively!)
  • What are your personal interests outside of work? I’m very interested in healthy lifestyles and nutrition.  I also enjoy playing video games when I’m not doing homework (okay, sometimes when I should be doing homework!)
  • What would AFWC patients be surprised to learn about you? I’m a medic in the Alaska Army National Guard.

  • What do you do at AFWC? I’m one of two Office Assistants
  • What do you love most about your job with AFWC? I love the people I work with – we have a lot of fun working together.
  • AFWC patients would most likely know you because… I do a little of everything – answering phones, checking patients in/out and coordinating pre-authorizations and records requests.  I pitch in wherever I’m needed to help our patients have a positive outcome to their healthcare needs.
  • What are your personal interests outside of work? Outside of work, I like to work out (when I’m not feeling lazy, of course.), watch tv, watch movies and play basketball.  I also enjoy snowboarding, longboarding, hiking and biking.
  • What would AFWC patients be surprised to learn about you? I like dogs, babies and toddlers but I don’t plan on having any anytime soon.

  • What do you do at AFWC? I’m a part-time Office Assistant.
  • What do you love most about your job with AFWC? I love my job because of the people I work with.  Everyone works hard but we try to have fun in the office.  Every day, I appreicate that I have a chance to learn something new about the medical field.
  • AFWC patients would most likely know you because… Our patients will notice I work in the back office.  I spend afternoons working on “behind the scenes” tasks – primarily scanning and importing medical documents into patient’s electronic records.
  • What are your personal interests outside of work? I enjoy many outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, walking, jogging, outrigger canoeing, boogie boarding, softball, snowboarding, cross country skiing, etc.  I also enjoy spending time with friends family – watching movies, short readings, traveling and eating…which is probably why I need to hike, bike, jog, etc.!
  • What would AFWC patients be surprised to learn about you? I’m originally from Hawaii but I love the snow in Alaska.

I’m the practice manager – I ensure our patients are happy with the medical care we provide and troubleshoot any problems.
  • What do you love most about your job with AFWC?
I truly enjoy working with our staff and patients alike. It’s not uncommon to see me chatting with a patient, catching up on their life or listening to suggestions or ideas on how we can improve our patients’ health care experience.
  • AFWC patients would most likely know you because…
I’m the one usually running back and forth from my office to the front desk, talking to myself!
  • What are your personal interests outside of work?
Spending time with friends and my 19-year-old American Eskimo, Shelly Hoover, fishing, camping, reading, music, cooking/baking, garage sales, and road trips.  I volunteer with the American Cancer Society, local animal organizations and senior centers.

I’m an avid Ohio State football fan courtesy of my dad and brothers – Go Buckeyes!
